Updates and announcements from the Gone Touring team.

Congratulations Team Triumph on the successful completion of the APC Rally, 2011.

Finishing two days early is a true reflection on the performance, capabilities and comfort of Triumph's new Tiger 800 XC.
Riding 4 bikes, the team consisted of:

- Mick Matheson, ADB Journalist
 - Trevor Hedge, MC News editor
 - Michael Oliver, TeamMoto Dealer Principal, Virginia
 - Wayne Croaker, 2011 Triumph 800 XC owner
 - Steve Chiodo, Triumph Australia representative
 - Brendon Robers, Triumph Australia representative

Michael Oliver, Mick Matheson and Wayne Croaker rode the event solely, while Trevor Hedge, Steve Chiodo and Brendon Roberts completed the rally as a team in relay.

Enjoying some of Australia's best adventure touring routes combined, the team travelled the Hattah Desert, the Border Track, Big Red, Birdsville, Innamincka, Emmaville, Woodenbong and down some challenging sections of the Great Dividing Range in NSW.

Triumph Australia's Brendon Roberts, on his return to the office, is already looking at next year's event and another chance to get back in the saddle. "This was a rally we were very excited to be involved in, the bike's a stand out, we already knew that from our recent NSW press launch and from thousands of kilometres of riding we undertook to learn firsthand about the bike in our unique Australian environment. This was an opportunity, above all, to ride the bike in an environment we hadn't yet personally experienced and in turn let our customers in on what has been a fantastic experience and let's be honest a ridiculous amount of fun."

"It's more than just riding bikes out there, its the diversity in the terrain, the wildlife, the places and the people you meet along the way. An event like the APC Rally is a perfect reflection on why this market segment is growing so rapidly, for me nothing matches it for pure enjoyment on every level."

The Tiger XC has not only been tried and tested, it been enjoyed. Triumph Australia have had their fun, and now it's over to you!
