Installation Note:
The drain hose doubles as the collection and storage receptacle for the dirty oil. Consequently, it’s worth ensuring you run the longest hose possible to guarantee adequate storage capacity from one service to the next.
I wrapped the drain tap in a piece of rubber and secured it with cable ties; this kept it clean and free from mud and road grime. I also placed a few lengths of spiral wrap around the drain hose to protect it from debris, but I allowed a few gaps to provide windows to see the see oil level.
